  • IFTAfy web application
  • IFTAfy mobile applications (iOS & Android)

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored in hashed form)
  • Company name and business details (if applicable)

B. Location Data

When location features are enabled in the mobile app, we may collect location data during active use, including:

  • GPS coordinates
  • Speed and movement data
  • Timestamps
  • Route reconstruction and mileage by jurisdiction

Consent Required: Drivers must provide consent before location tracking is enabled. Location collection is controlled by device permissions and app settings.

C. Trip & Fuel Data

We collect and store information you enter or generate through the Service, including:

  • Trip origins and destinations
  • Routing and mileage calculations
  • Fuel purchase entries and related metadata
  • IFTA reporting data

D. Device & Technical Data

We may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser or device type
  • Operating system
  • Device identifiers or fingerprints (used for security and fraud prevention)

E. Payment Information

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. IFTAfy does not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide mileage calculations, reports, and IFTA tools
  • Enable fleet visibility and driver management features
  • Maintain and secure user accounts
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Communicate service-related notices
  • Improve platform performance and user experience

We do not sell your data.

3. Sharing of Information

We may share limited information only as necessary with:

  • Stripe - for payment processing
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) - for cloud hosting, storage, and infrastructure
  • Service providers - who support essential platform operations under confidentiality obligations
  • Law enforcement or regulators - only if required to comply with legal obligations or lawful requests

We do not share personal data for advertising or marketing resale purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain account, trip, fuel, and reporting data:

  • For as long as your account remains active
  • As necessary to provide the Service
  • As required by applicable laws, tax regulations, or compliance obligations

You may request data export or account deletion as described below.

5. Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate security measures, including:

  • Encrypted databases
  • Secure AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Token-based authentication
  • TLS (HTTPS) encrypted communications

However, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge that transmitting and storing data online involves some inherent risk.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request to:

IFTAfy is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand and consent that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
