How IFTA works in Florida

Florida is an IFTA member jurisdiction. Carriers file quarterly fuel tax returns through their base jurisdiction, reporting Florida miles and fuel alongside all other jurisdictions traveled during the quarter.

Who reports Florida miles

  • Interstate carriers entering Florida from Georgia or Alabama
  • Florida-based owner-operators and fleets
  • Port and regional haulers on qualified IFTA equipment

Florida mileage and fuel records

  • Trip detail for Florida segments on I-75, I-95, I-10, and Florida Turnpike routes
  • Quarterly Florida mileage totals
  • Fuel receipts for Florida purchases

See mileage records guide.

How IFTAfy helps with Florida miles

IFTAfy splits jurisdiction mileage on southeast routes, logs fuel and receipts, and supports quarterly IFTA report review.
